Cupcake Sugar Cookies

Store-bought iced sugar cookies tend to be disgusting, thanks to the plentifully applied cheapo icing that tastes like plasticine puking Skittles. But I can get behind these Cupcake Sugar Cookies from Bake Me Pretty. They use royal icing (which tastes like creamy sugar, as icing should), colorful sprinkles, and a sour cherry ball to decorate the cookies. They even dare to leave a few spaces blank, letting the cookie itself shine through and cutting down on the sweetness a tad.

Get a dozen of these pretties for $36.00. Yes, that’s $3 a cookie. Novelty isn’t cheap, folks.

I had some brownies once from Wal-mart and I swear to all that’s holy the icing tasted exactly like those green army men.

There’s a chance those were part of the ingredients, hidden under the mysterious “…and other ingredients” at the end of the label.
